The Human Inquiry is a permanent, global Socratic project. Its purpose is simple but vital: to ask the questions that matter most about our times, our direction, and our survival.

Attention is under attack. Most people are either distracted entirely or caught up in endless circles of reaction. Without attention, truth is lost. Without truth, human continuity is broken. This inquiry begins by reclaiming attention and focusing it where it matters most.

The Inquiry is not about ideology, political parties, or short-term causes. It is about humanity itself—our continuity, our ability to carry forward what it means to be human.

It offers a framework to ask questions in public, to hear every possible answer, and to distil real knowledge from the noise.

Every journey begins with a first question. For the Human Inquiry, that starting point is Question 1: the first marker in our shared search for truth.

This is more than a question. It is an opening move in a never-ending process. It invites people everywhere to stop, to think, and to contribute their understanding of our current moment. By gathering answers from every perspective—across disciplines, cultures, and experiences—we begin to see the real picture of where we are.

HOW TO TAKE PART

Give your attention: write, review, suggest, share, record, or gather-every act of inquiry builds the whole.

The Human Inquiry is built on participation. The only requirement is to give your attention in whatever form suits you best.

You can write an answer to the current question. You can review someone else’s contribution and offer your perspective. You might suggest what Question 2 should be, opening the way for the inquiry to continue. Each action adds weight to the process.

There are many other ways to take part. Sit down with a friend, record your discussion, and share it.
